On the list of things I never thought I'd write on this blog...

A group of Canadians sing in defence of the mandatory long form Census.

  • That's absolutely hilarious, though what makes it funnier is the fact that one of the guys had his blurred out and are holding a Sarah Palin cut-out up, which is fairly random.

  • Is this like the "Tears Are not Enough" of the 2010s?

  • I like John Campey a lot; he's smart and works hard and is completely sincere.

I'd like him to run for office (I think he did once before). We could use more like him.

I'm not sure what to think about the whole census thing... but if you and JC are for the long form, I probably am too.

  • Funny, Volkov - the exact same thing drew my attention. I'm sure it's meant to highlight the theme, in some esoteric manner beyond my small comprehension.

  • My opinion is Palin is one of those in the US who has urged people not to send in their census forms filled in; some evil tyranny plot or something. She's been trying to woo the Tea Party movement to her and all.. because they're paranoid anti-census freaks as well.. hence the inclusion of her in this video comparing the Conservatives move to her warped views.

Whats even funnier.. the guy who made this video claims his Conservative friend is the one holding her cutout.. didnt want to be identified in the video by his Conservative colleagues apparently.

  • Option A: Convince people to voluntarily participate in what you believe is right.

Option B: Convince the government to coerce people into participating with what you believe is right.

Typical Canadians choose B. (Both Right and Left).
