  • Was so hoping to see Pete gone for awhile. Would have been interesting to see how badly he would have messed up. *sigh*

  • Stephan blew his chance when he said that Afghanistan was unwinnable.

  • Phew...the way MacKay bumbles, he would leave a very bad reputation for Canada.

We've been saved from some embarrassment.

  • NATO deserves someone like McKay to discredit it ASAP so we can get on with a more relevant approach to world security. This is too bad.

  • Sorry, I'm new here. What has McKay done that's so bad as DND Minister? Other than being in a party you didn't vote for?

I wonder how annoyed Liz May is at the NATO status-quo of sticking with a Euro as civilian leader and American in a different shade of green. Would May win that riding without McKay?

  • I doubt that May would run in Central Nova if MacKay wasn't there. The only reason I could think of for why she chose that district in the first place was that it was some kind of protest against the Alliance/PC merger. (Way to fight five-year-old battles, Elizabeth!)
