  • If leaking a speech about light bulbs is the best the liberals can come up with... the mole is welcome to stay.

  • Just saw this reported on The National (am I the only one who thinks that Keith Boag is one of the worst CBC reporters ever?)

Based on the leaked items mentioned, it would seem the Tories are certainly giving at least the optics of taking emmissions caps seriously.

  • Foolish CBC! As if Harper would allow his minions to leak a memo. Clearly this involves a grand plan within a plan, that will make Parry Sound the capital of Canada, and the Conservative Party of Canada the immortal government.

Also Stephen Harper will get superpowers.

  • Hahaha!

The conservatives are trying to outdo the Liberal's income trust leak.

Let's see how your stocks perform tomorrow.

  • Baird says that he takes responsibility for the error, and that it's rare in Ottawa for that to happen. He's right. Now if only the Minister of Defense felt that way.

  • Now it looks like the speech is the real deal according to CTV.

In other news, just as climate change hysteria reaches a fever pitch in Canada, the debate takes a trip to the Bizarro world.

  • Uhhhh, faxing the Opposition is hardly akin to deliberately letting friends in finance know the government's plans/speeches.

  • Sean, that link is cool, but I've thought there must be something more useful, some way to actually make the panel into a solar power collecting panel. Why waste the sun?

It could be a miniature, elfin version of a Dyson Shell. A shield that blocks sun from the Earth, but collects and transmits solar power.

If a space elevator is possible, with a physical connection to an ocean-bound platform, then a physical connection to an orbiting solar panel/umbrella is also feasible.

    Fun stuff to think about!

  • Bleh, I got Shell and Sphere mixed up. My bad. A Dyson Sphere, I should have said.

  • When Baird claims to take responsibility, does it mean that he is resigning? Or is this the kind of taking of responsibility that doesn't embody any actual repercussions? It's very popular south of the border these days.

Let's get the facts right. No LPC politician was involved in the insider trading of the income trust.

PLease, no smearing! That's harper's job.

  • The only thing Harper smears is his lipstick.

  • Kinda funny... the title made me smile anyway.

As long as the existing government doesn't fund building it. God knows, they can't even work a fax machine. Heaven help them if they try a VCR!

    Rite!

Gosh, I wonder if harper's makeup person is a secret NDP operative! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

  • I don't need any court or police investigation to know that Scott Brison passed on information to his friend, and possibly friends.

He's slime, and the LPC was better off without him.

  • Jason,
Question that has been on my mind since this came out (as well as the Afghan torture revelations.

Who else did they fax by 'mistake' besides the opposition?

Will we ever know? And if they would answer, would that answer be truthful?

    Spin away.
