Now I Know How the NDP Feels

I'm currently only behind SDA by a factor of 24 in the Weblog Awards, 988 to 42.

  • Small Dead Animals...? We certainly know who's voting in that poll. I find it hard to believe that most people would think that the rantings and ravings of a xenophobic racist represents the best blog in Canada...

  • Although the more I think about it, the more I realize how much entertainment value SDA has.

  • I think Dan is too influenced by his upcoming exams.

  • Well, unfortunately, these awards havent been that well-publicized outside of the blogs who are competing in them.

Plus, Kate's readership is very dedicated and loyal to her and will vote en masse for Kate and/or her blog if she directs them to do so. The disadvantage for you and others is that there are 4 "progressive" blogs on there and those who do know about it are splitting the vote.

  • I'm a non-partisan swing voter and Dan is probably the most honest and non-dismissive partisan blogger in Canada. I can't think of any partisan more honest - that's why I read him, and not Cherniak or Kate or even Ted.

Greyburr clearly does not read CG every day. Give it up, dude - no one buys your spin.

CalgaryGrit is a very open, very fair, very civilized blog.

  • And POGGE tossed their vote to MyBlahg, not that it will defeat Kate. Schmutzie Milk Money is another Saskatchewan blogger, so it'd be nice to see a good turnout for them.

  • I'm a Tory, and I'd have to agree that this is a refreshingly non-partisan blog. It is a refreshing change from the Cherniaks of the world (does that guy EVER diverge from the party line).

  • Clear Grit, I get a laugh from reading the SDA comments, and sometimes Kate has a worthwhile joke too. I'm not sure she buys what she writes all of the time though, while the commenters eat it up.

  • Dan,

I voted for your blog as the best. Your insight on anything politico is excellent. You have the best resources on the leadership races, fun polls, and just good wit. Very enjoyable.
