Still Early

Take a look at Jacques Saada's official campaign website:

Hello and welcome!

Since we are still at the beginning of this federal election campaign, we have yet to finalize the content of some sections of this site.

Please come back and visit us soon!

And, if you're wondering, the French page says the exact same thing.

Glad to see the Liberals are so convinced about the referendum election that a month into the campaign is still considered "early". Especially in one of the key battleground ridings, with a Cabinet Minister fighting for his life.

UPDATE: Jean Lapierre and Pierre Pettigrew seem to suffer the same fates. But, as you all probably know, I'm very hesitant to criticize Mr. Lapierre so I'm glad I noticed Mr. Saada's site before his.

  • That's just sad. Surely they could have slapped something together in a matter of days, even if they intended on changing it later.

  • The Tipping point

That's where we're at right now. There are a myriad of institutions and individuals who've banked on the fact that the Libs would be in power, and acted accordingly. This not only includes supporters but also various groups and individuals who have been aware of things detrimental to the Libs but have held off, for fear of Lib reprisals.

Once it becomes clear that Harper may win the election, self preservation will kick in with respect to these groups and individuals.

Expect the next three weeks to be a flood of negative information about the Libs.

Some of it will be BS. A lot of it won't, and it will be devastating.

Not only has the bottom fallen out, the walls are caving in a well.

  • Petigrew's site doesn't even list his current position.
