Cause and Effect

Given this:

Liberal 31%
CPC 30%
NDP 19%
BQ 13%

How long before Dosanj caves completely on private health care? I give him about 5 hours.

At this point, Layton could probably get the Liberals to nationalize the banks if they asked for it...

  • The only surprising thing about this poll result is that the CPC doesn't have a significant lead. That the Libs and CPC are in a virtual dead-heat after the release of the Gomery report should be expected, given that the Lib lead pre-release was not that large.

Comments over the next few months from the usual CPC wingnuts will probably shift the CPC downward again.

  • They already gave Layton an offer last night (which he had not yet read this morning).

  • I don't think we need to do something silly like nationalize the banks (or anything else - that is SOOO 1960s).

How about bringing forth legislation for a MMPR electoral system? Or Implementing Ed Braodbent's 7 point ethics plan.

    Those are much better ideas.

  • Why won't Harper tell us who donated to his leadership campaign? Who paid off McKay's $500,000 debt?

Harper needs to come clean if he is to be believed.

  • Harper has posted his donors on a web site.
    MacKay's debt was paid selling....bigger.....economic.....pie.

  • I agree with Mike.. the NDP should have expanded their demands list beyond health care for the other issues he mentions (electoral and ethic reforms) rather then just sticking to 1 issue.

Perhaps with these new polls showing Liberal popularity dropping.. thats what they'll do.
